Production Management Course-Beginning 22 April 2009

The Garment Industry Productivity Center (GIPC) is offering a new program to upgrade production management and supervisory skills; the program is adapted to meet the needs of large manufacturers, and of smaller enterprises and workshops.   

Manufacturers need trained production leadership able to plan, monitor, and adapt production processes based on needed results.  The Production Management course will help individuals currently working in production management or supervision develop their skills with proven working methods enabling them to systemize workflow and output, and structure work so control over production is not a burden but the natural result of production tasks.  

Course content: 
          
·          Principles of Work and Time Study: Efficiency, and Performance calculation, establishing Standard Time.
          
·          Good Supervisor: Duties and Responsibilities of a supervisor, Effective supervision, and House Keeping.
          
·          Quality Control: Quality Control Report, Quality Control system. How to deal with poor quality, this also including the cutting concept.
          
·          Communication: Problem solving, and communication in workplace and motivation.
          
·          Production Planning and Production Control: Planning the balancing and production control throughout the day.  

Outcome: improved production management linked to the goals of upper management for output, cost control, and customer satisfaction
