Duration: 40 hours classroom and 60 hours in-factory
Requirements:
Who Should Take This Course? Sewing supervisors, middle managers, high potential line leaders, industrial engineering department personnel Objectives: Participants will learn to identify the most efficient work methods to improve performance at the individual work station level, and in the overall flow of operations from cutting to shipping. The course will develop the analytical skills regarding work methods and processes in the garment industry. The participant will learn to use basic motion study concepts to optimize the use of labor, materials and equipment to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing cost. Course content:
Equipment recommended: Electronic stopwatch denominated in 100ths/minute Competencies:
At the end of the course, the participant will be tested for the ability to analyze each sewing operation and improve the overall process of assembling a garment.
